Choosing rainwear by use

Groups are based on product names and the information on product pages. A reflective detail does not mean an EN ISO 20471 high-visibility class.

What to Look for When Choosing Work Rainwear

When choosing work rainwear, look beyond colour or appearance: consider how long it will be worn, the product type, fit, and the hood and fastening design together. Long rain coats, rain suits and ponchos may suit different working conditions.

Short answer: Work out how long you will be out in the rain, then compare the water protection, hood, fastening, size and care information in the product description. Do not treat “water-repellent”, “water-resistant” and “waterproof” as the same thing.

Long rain coat or rain suit?

Long rain coats cover the upper body and part of the legs in a single piece, while rain suits may consist of two pieces: a jacket and trousers. Rather than relying on the product photo, check the pack contents and the product description.

How should water protection be assessed?

Alongside the fabric or surface information, seams, zips and other joins also matter. If the product page does not state a test value, standard or usage limit, do not assume any undocumented waterproof performance.

What should you consider when choosing a rainwear size?

If you will wear the rainwear over a T-shirt, sweatshirt, fleece or jacket, allow for the space taken up by the layers underneath. However, do not turn this into an automatic “size up” rule; use the product size chart where available.

What do reflective models mean?

Reflective details can support visibility; however, a bright colour or reflective tape alone does not show that a specific high-visibility standard is met. If a particular occupational safety standard is required, check the manufacturer’s documentation separately.

Work rainwear FAQ

PVC rainwear or water-repellent fabric rainwear?

PVC rain jackets are made from plastic material: they keep water out and wipe clean easily, but they are not breathable. İmperteks is a Turkish trade name for coated polyester fabric, a lighter option with a more fabric-like feel. Please check the product description for waterproof performance details.

Can we buy rainwear in bulk for our team?

Yes. Choose your models and size breakdown, then request a quote via the Corporate Bulk Order page. Stock and size availability are checked at the quotation stage.
